I recently attended A Basic Guide to Probate and Estate Administration, run by the
IPW. It was an excellent course, and it included a session from Property Solutions
Group delivered by their Managing Director, Gary Shaw. For me, the most valuable
part of the day was the practical insight into how estate properties can be
managed.
At the time, I had been struggling to find buildings insurance for an unoccupied
property. It was explained that many IPW members pass all their estate properties
to Property Solutions Group to manage, and the training showed just how much
they take on. They arrange local agents to value the property, change the locks,
provide unoccupied buildings insurance, and organise house clearance, gardeners,
cleaners and auctioneers to value personal possessions. They then market and sell
the property through the Rightmove portal. They can even arrange deferred
payment for estates without liquid assets.
It sounded almost too good to be true, but it has proved to be exactly what I
needed.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. The whole team, led by Barry and Gary,
has been excellent from day one. They began by arranging a Zoom meeting to
introduce me to Tom and Rebecca, who handle my matters day to day and have
been equally helpful and responsive. They keep in direct contact with executors
and beneficiaries while keeping me fully informed, and they also pay referral fees!
For anyone dealing with probate, using Property Solutions Group is a no-brainer.
